Tóm tắt: khủng long Every day challenges can test our trust in God. Fear and anxiety can rob us from faith. The future may seem uncertain right now, and worry keeps occupying too much room in your heart, in your mind, but remember this: God is already in all of our tomorrows. The Bible assures us that He knows our way, and He has a plan. And we can trust God’s way is the best way for us. We’ve collected some of our favorite Bible verses about trusting God that will reassure your faith and bring a new spring of hope.
God’s timing is perfect. We may never know why certian things happen during our lives on earth, but we can trust that God’s plan is for our good and that He goes before us. Trusting in God doesn’t mean we put on a smile and fake the appearance of faith – sometimes trusting God is crying out to Him in our pain. Our true hope is knowing that we can rejoice in the pain.
God never asks us to figure it all out on our own. He just asks us to trust Him, to recognize His leadership and Sovereignty in our lives. And His promises in Scripture tell us that he makes our pathways straight. There is power when you trust God. Our security and peace can rest on God alone – not our own circumstances, other people, or our own ability. We can believe His Word when he says that he will not leave us nor forsake us. As you read these Bible verses, may you regain trust in the One who created you and watches over us. Meditate on these Scriptures morning and evening and you will experience the power of hope!
A Prayer for Trusting GodLord, I thank You that You are the God of the impossible. You can do anything. I want to trust in Your ability and not my own. Teach me to see difficulties in my life from Your perspective. Help me to focus on You and Your power. I want to be like Joshua and Caleb who believed in a good report and focused on You even in hard circumstances (Numbers 14:7-9). My responsibility is to carefully read, trust, and obey Your Word. Today I bring before You this difficulty in my life (Name a hard situation you are right now facing). Help me not to fear but to trust You in this situation. I declare my faith in Your ability to fulfill Your promises to me. You will fight for me and win the battles in my life. You are mighty, powerful, righteous, and true. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

What does the Bible say about trusting God?
The Bible is the one written reason in why we have to trust God. It’s a book bursting with Scriptures about how we need to trust God. It’s God’s desire that we trust Him fully, He doesn’t want us to trust Him when it suits us.
“Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.” (Jeremiah 17:5).
Having trust in the Lord is to fully submit to Him, to have complete confidence and security in Him. “Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.” (Jeremiah 17:7).
It means to have a firm belief that God will deliver His promises. We trust God through the special gift of faith we have been given to trust Him over anything. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
He is our creator, the all-powerful, omniscient God and we are commanded to retire ourselves to trust His plan.
Bible Verses About Trusting God
God has never, and will never lie. This is clear in the Bible. His Word is filled with the promises and because He loves us, He knows what is best for us.
God’s Word remains steadfast, and we have faith in His ability to deliver these promises set forth for us. Having trust in God is more than just a “feeling,” it’s surrendering our trials and tribulations to Him through times where it seems impossible.
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; And lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he shall direct thy paths.” – Proverbs 3:5-6, KJV
The point here being made by Solomon makes it evident that we must not look for our own ways to solve situations. Looking at ourselves in comparison to God, we can only understand and see one fraction of the world.
God sees and knows everything, including the future. So, by seeking out our own devices through worldly solutions is defying the Word of God.
“He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: But whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.” – Proverbs 28:26, KJV
Trusting in ourselves will ultimately lead to destruction. If we follow Him, we don’t need to worry because He has it figured out.
“For the word of the LORD is right; And all his works are done in truth.” – Psalm 33:4, KJV
Having trust in someone is challenging because it means you must reveal things about yourself that you want to keep hidden.
This involves you to be completely vulnerable with the hope that it’s not used against you and ultimately leaves you feeling discarded. Every single promise God made will be delivered because “he is faithful.”
“There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.” – Joshua 1:5, KJV
God cares about you and you will never have to worry that you will be forgotten or made to feel like your problems don’t matter. This is the one of best comforts we can feel from God.
“but they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” – Isaiah 40:31, KJV
God doesn’t say our lives will be easy but His Word clearly portrays how we will never walk this walk alone. So having trust in the Lord is a vital component because we are not in control. He is who gives us the strength to combat life’s difficulties. God is powerful, gracious, and truly forgiving. He is our Salvation in times of need.
“And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: For thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.” – Psalm 9:10, KJV
It gives us an overwhelming sense of peace to know that He will be there wrapping His arms around us, and we will never be left to overcome our situations by ourselves. He is there, present with us always.
“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:19, KJV
It’s so reassuring to know that God will always provide. No matter our circumstances or desires of the world.
We are able to trust in the one, true king to deliver our needs through being faithful in His name. It reinforces that our decisions are to be set upon Him, for He is the controller.
“Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?” – Matthew 6:31, KJV
We may think that we want something, but God knows what is best for us. So, by standing firm in our faith, we can trust in God to give us the right things.
“(for we walk by faith, not by sight:)” – 2 Corinthians 5:7, KJV
Having trust and faith in something we cannot see is not easy to do, but we have peace knowing God’s love surrounds us. We can trust that He is always working, even when we cannot see it.
This Scripture is a clear instruction on believing everything God has said in His Word. We are vulnerable to God as all we can do is rely on Him.
“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh o God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” – Hebrews 11:6, KJV
No matter how dire our situation may feel and we believe that we have exhausted every solution, we must remember that nothing is impossible for God. Every action we do must be done through faith.
We must succumb to a complete trust in God and believe Him with every part of our being.
Bible Verses About Trusting Others
The Bible speaks strongly in who you should trust. If we place our trust in humans, then we sadly put a boundary on God’s power over our lives. It’s good to have a friend or family member to help us out in times of need, but depending on our own ideas will set us up for failure and we cannot forget the great promises God has for us.
Humans are not perfect, and if we were, we would be like Jesus Christ. So, by placing our trust in humans, we will not succeed because they are bound to let us down.
“Bear ye on another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.” – Galatians 6:2, KJV
Yet, if we do not have trust in those around us, relationships and friendships will struggle because trust is one of the foundations in keeping them functional and healthy.
It clarifies how we must love others and who we should trust to a certain degree, “and let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works.” (Hebrews 10:24).
“Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” – James 5:16, KJV
It takes courage and trust to confess something to someone else, It’s exposing yourself in your weak moments, to allow healing to come into your life, and giving your trust to that person as you stand with one another, “rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer.” (Romans 12:15).
“but speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.” – Ephesians 4:15, KJV
Christians are called to be trustworthy and speak truth with love because trust and love go hand in hand, but it is easier said than done. When placing trust in humans, we must be careful in how we do it.
If we feel hesitant to trust, we must pray and ask God for healing over our hearts from past wounds.
The Bible offers a wealth of advice on why we should forgive and trust others from past disappointments.
“Then Peter came to him and said, ‘Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? til seven times? Jesus saith unto him, ‘I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.” (Matthew 18:21-22).
“It is better to trust in the LORD Than to put confidence in man.” – Psalm 118:8, KJV
Trust is a fundamental value among Christians, but we must not forget that God is our ultimate security and our trust in man should not be over God. And this was made very clear by David when he wrote this.
He endured much suffering from many untrustworthy experiences by people who were close to him.
This circles us back to the first Scripture, Proverbs 3:5, making it clear that the Lord is who we must place our trust in if we truly want to experience the gracious love He has for us.
“Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, In whom there is no help.” – Psalm 146:3, KJV
Ultimately we should put our trust fully in God. Consistency, loyalty, and reliability are all part of His characteristics. God’s promises are to be fulfilled if we are faithful to Him and Him only because man will never be able to fulfil what God can. “Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?” (Isaiah 2:22).
Stories about Trusting God in Difficult Times
God is a God of the impossible. He is beyond description for how tremendous He is. Sometimes we can forget just how great the Lord is when it comes to understanding what He actually can do for us, but our “unbelief” will never stop Him from completing His miraculous works.
“It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: if we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he will also deny us: if we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.” (2 Timothy 2:11-13).
The faith we put in Him will prove to us why we need to trust God in the good times and the difficult times.
Story of Easter and her leap of faith
Do you remember a time when you felt afraid? You had the opportunity to act, but fear held you back. The emotions we feel in these types of situations can be embarrassing and the dread of being rejected or failing looms closely over our heads.
But there was a new queen, Esther, who felt all these emotions too. She reigned over a period where her people were in exile which meant that she too had to keep her Jewish background a well-kept secret. Haman had it out for the Jews and he persuaded the king to kill them.
Mordecai, her adoptive father, begged her to stand up for her people, but she was afraid because of what the king would do. “… whether man or woman, shall come unto the king into the inner court, who is not called, there is one law of his to put him to death…” (Esther 4:11). She had a rational reason not to do it because she could die.
This can be like many of us who make excuses for why we can’t do something. We try to hide away from the problems or situations we are faced with.
However, Mordecai believed Esther even though she did not believe in herself, and he told her that the purpose God had for her was greater than the risk. “… and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14).
She made a huge leap of faith and stepped out in spite of her fear, “… and so I will go unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.” (Esther 4:16).
This was such a huge risk to take, yet she stood firm in her faith, and she went on to save her people and herself because she knew that God would be there for her.
Zacharias and Elisabeth’s Story of Patience & Trust in God
Life can be a roller-coaster of unexpected twists and turns and we, the riders, have to find a way to navigate through it all. This can be a great demand on us, especially when we turn away from the things we desire.
So, having a yearning for something such as bearing a child can be very disheartening when it is not fulfilled. We know God has the plans for us, but as humans we can find our faith is “tested.”
Just like how the “childless” and “very old” couple Zacharias and Elisabeth were. They both had to stand firm in their faith even though Elisabeth was past a child-bearing age.
Do you have something that has been unfulfilled? Something you are longing for and crying out to God to hear your prayers? And still, God provided.
“But the angel said unto him, Fear not Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.” (Luke 1:13).
Through this story, we can be inspired by the aptitude of trust they had to have in God whilst they were in a long season of waiting, to truly know what it means to stand firm in the faith.
Isaiah’s story and trusting God during hard times
Nobody ever wants to hear “bad news.” It’s something we are afraid of because it takes our mind straight to over-thinking the worst-case scenario, which, in turn, fills us with the spirit of anxiety and fear. These spirits try to consume us in the moments we need to be the strongest.
So, it can only be imagined as to how Isaiah felt when God chose him to give the Israelites a vital message. The vision was so strong that Isaiah felt overwhelmed.
“Therefore are my loins filled with pain: pangs have taken hold upon me, as the pangs of a woman that travaileth: I was bowed down at the hearing of it; I was dismayed at the seeing of it.” (Isaiah 21:3).
It’s inevitable that we will experience some form of bad news, and it’s in those times we need to make sure our fleshly bodies do not attempt to make a plan. Prayer can be challenging in these moments but it’s the perfect chance for us to alter our prayer life.
Many of us will run away from disappointing news and hide it from people so we do not seem vulnerable, which, in the end, can cause us to avoid dealing with the situation or taking advice.
But we can be inspired by Isaiah during this season because he was vulnerable with God. He didn’t hide away from voicing his hurt of not always being able to hear God through the tough times.
And in the end, Isaiah deepens his relationship with God. “and said unto me, Thou art my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified. Then I said, I have labored in vain, I have spent my strength for nought, and in vain: yet surely my judgement is with the LORD, and my work with God.” (Isaiah 49:3-4).
Isaiah remained strong during a time of difficulty because he was open and honest with God. He stood firm in knowing that God chose him for a purpose and he truly believed that He would stand by him.
We can use this as an example during challenging times and know that God will always stand by us no matter what.
Conclusion:
Trust begins by choosing to look to the Lord rather than leaning on ourselves. We have the beautiful holy word to continually remind us of God’s love and promises for us.
God knows what He is doing for all of our lives. He has chosen you for a purpose and nothing makes Him happier than to see His children trusting and living by His word to fulfill those promises.
