Tóm tắt: khủng long Image-to-image translation is to learn a mapping between images from a sourcedomain and images from a target domain. In this paper, we introduce theattention mechanism directly to the generative adversarial network (GAN)architecture and propose a novel spatial attention GAN model (SPA-GAN) forimage-to-image translation tasks. SPA-GAN computes the attention in itsdiscriminator and use it to help the generator focus more on the mostdiscriminative regions between the source and target domains, leading to morerealistic output images. We also find it helpful to introduce an additionalfeature map loss in SPA-GAN training to preserve domain specific featuresduring translation. Compared with existing attention-guided GAN models, SPA-GANis a lightweight model that does not need additional attention networks orsupervision. Qualitative and quantitative comparison against state-of-the-artmethods on benchmark datasets demonstrates the superior performance of SPA-GAN.

Tóm tắt: khủng long Recently, convolutional neural networks (CNNs) have achieved greatimprovements in single image dehazing and attained much attention in research.Most existing learning-based dehazing methods are not fully end-to-end, whichstill follow the traditional dehazing procedure: first estimate the mediumtransmission and the atmospheric light, then recover the haze-free image basedon the atmospheric scattering model. However, in practice, due to lack ofpriors and constraints, it is hard to precisely estimate these intermediateparameters. Inaccurate estimation further degrades the performance of dehazing,resulting in artifacts, color distortion and insufficient haze removal. Toaddress this, we propose a fully end-to-end Generative Adversarial Networkswith Fusion-discriminator (FD-GAN) for image dehazing. With the proposedFusion-discriminator which takes frequency information as additional priors,our model can generator more natural and realistic dehazed images with lesscolor distortion and fewer artifacts. Moreover, we synthesize a large-scaletraining dataset including various indoor and outdoor hazy images to boost theperformance and we reveal that for learning-based dehazing methods, theperformance is strictly influenced by the training data. Experiments have shownthat our method reaches state-of-the-art performance on both public syntheticdatasets and real-world images with more visually pleasing dehazed results.

Tóm tắt: khủng long In modern power delivery systems, there has been an up-rising trend of migrating conventional two-stage dc-dc power conversion architecture to a single-stage one, in order to accomplish better efficiency and power density. In response to such a trend, this article presents a gallium nitride (GaN)-based power converter design that achieves direct 48-/1-V dc-dc power conversion with a single-stage double step-down (DSD) architecture. Operating at 2 MHz, it pushes the equivalent minimum duty ratio to a record low level of 2.1%. In order to improve closed-loop regulation, an adaptive ON- and OFF-time (AO2T) control with elastic ON-time modulation is proposed for both steady-state and transient response enhancement. For reinforced reliability in the dual-phase operation, a master-phase mirroring technique enables adaptive master-slave phase operation, accomplishing automatic phase current balancing. An IC prototype is implemented on a 180-nm high voltage (HV) bipolar, CMOS DMOS (BCD) process, with an active die area of 1.46 mm2. It achieves peak efficiencies of 85.4%, 79%, and 56.8% at 100 kHz, 250 kHz, and 2 MHz, respectively.

Tóm tắt: khủng long The use of medical image synthesis with generative adversarial networks (GAN) is effective for expanding medical samples. The structural consistency between the synthesized and actual image is a key indicator of the quality of the synthesized image, and the region of interest (ROI) of the synthesized image is related to its usability, and these parameters are the two key issues in image synthesis. In this paper, the fusion-ROI patch GAN (Fproi-GAN) model was constructed by incorporating a priori regional feature based on the two-stage cycle consistency mechanism of cycleGAN. This model has improved the tissue contrast of ROI and achieved the pairwise synthesis of high-quality medical images and their corresponding ROIs. The quantitative evaluation results in two publicly available datasets, INbreast and BRATS 2017, show that the synthesized ROI images have a DICE coefficient of 0.981 ± 0.11 and a Hausdorff distance of 4.21 ± 2.84 relative to the original images. The classification experimental results show that the synthesized images can effectively assist in the training of machine learning models, improve the generalization performance of prediction models, and improve the classification accuracy by 4% and sensitivity by 5.3% compared with the cycleGAN method. Hence, the paired medical images synthesized using Fproi-GAN have high quality and structural consistency with real medical images.
